In addition to the spatial layout of your city, you need to consider the money you have to spend, how your resources are growing, where you want to be in turn order, how to keep expanding with roads, and when you’ll meet the requirements for adding a monument to your city.
Well, if that’s not enough for you, Arcane Wonders has already published an expansion for the game!
It’s time to take a look at World Wonders: Mundo Wonders Pack.
The World Wonders: Mundo Wonders Pack is a small box of goodies that includes, as you might expect, more monuments!

Or, players can choose to use the new Mundo cards for these monuments instead.
As with the base game, each monument has an accompanying monument card that shows the requirements for getting and placing that monument in your city.
In addition, there’s a deck of Mundo cards that also match up with each new monument. Players can choose to play with this set of cards instead of the monument cards.

For example, the placement requirement for the Great Sphinx is that it must be placed adjacent to a monument and a road. If using the Mundo card instead, the Great Sphinx will score 3 additional points if another monument is placed adjacent to it later.

Our thoughts on the game expansion
Yes, we love having a greater mix of monuments in a game of World Wonders. But that alone probably isn’t enough to warrant buying a copy of the Mundo Wonders Pack.
However, the addition of the Mundo cards tips the scale in favor or snagging a copy if you already enjoy playing World Wonders.
In a regular game of World Wonders, getting a monument are great goals to set your sights on. They get you points and look great in your city. But once they’re there, you move on.
When using the Mundo cards though, once you add one of these monuments to your city, you’re not finished with it. You’ll definitely want to keep going for the additional objective. Which means these monuments continue to be part of your planning and playing.
And we really enjoy that addition.
Which is why we don’t see ourselves playing World Wonders without using the Mundo cards.
Our only wish is that the expansion pack also included Mundo cards for all the monuments in the base game as well. Because it would be fun to have those additional scoring objectives for every monument now included in the game.
