Leg 1: maN cITY -4 coRNER hANDICAP

Man City are the Premier League’s leading corner takers, and in a game which could well be heavily lop-sided, backing City to overcome a -4 corner handicap may well offer excellent value. Available at odds-against here, the champions have averaged a whopping 7.95 corners per game in the Premier League this season, all whilst conceding the fewest corners per game, at 3.10.

In their 4-1 win over Ipswich at the Etihad in August, City notched 10 corners, whilst the Tractor Boys managed just a solitary corner, with City easily clearing this handicap line with 5 corners to spare. Pep Guardiola’s side have taken 4+ more corners than their opponents in 13 of their 21 Premier League games this season, so this line is easily achievable.

Ipswich, on the other hand, have allowed their opponents to beat this handicap line in 6 league games already this season, and average just 4.19 corners taken per game, whilst conceding 6.67.

Leg 2: sAVIO to haVE 1+ sHOTS oN tArget

Having finally broken his duck by scoring for Man City against Leicester, the Brazil international has looked increasingly threatening, now having 7 shots on target in his last 4 starts in the league.

The confidence is flowing recently, with that initial goal and assist against the Foxes being immediately followed by two assists and a near-assist as Vladimir Coufal deflected his cross into his own goal in City’s 4-1 thrashing of West Ham a fortnight ago.

Despite the goals taking a while to come, Savinho has now had a shot on target in his last 9 straight starts in the Premier League, an impressive run that means the 21-year-old winger last failed to hit the target when starting a league game all the way back on September 22, in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal at the Etihad.

Averaging 3.0 shots per 90 in the top flight, even when he wasn’t scoring Savinho was never afraid to take a shot, and those numbers have only climbed since he got off the mark in City colours. He is averaging 1.17 shots on target per 90, and looks a strong choice to test the keeper in a game City should dominate.

Leg 3: Nathan Broadhead To Commit 1+ Fouls

Nathan Broadhead has, until recently, rarely featured for Ipswich this season, but has now started 3 consecutive Premier League games for the Tractor Boys. The Wales international has committed a foul in each of his last two league starts, and represents good value to do so again here.

Broadhead averages 0.59 fouls per 90 in the top flight, and has been good for around a foul per 90 for most of his career to date, having averaged 0.94 fouls per 90 in the Championship last season, and 1.16 fouls per 90 for Ipswich in League One.

Broadhead will have to do a good amount of defending in this one, with his flank expected to feature Man City’s Phil Foden and Rico Lewis. Lewis is the main matchup for Broadhead, and the youngster draws an impressive 1.56 fouls per 90. We can also expect Broadhead to get back to help Leif Davis defensively, which will bring him into contact with Foden, who wins 1.81 fouls per 90. With two top foul-winners in close proximity, we think odds of 1.67 look like great value for Broadhead to extend his foul streak to 3 straight league games.

lEG 4: Manuel Akanji To Be Fouled 1+ Times

Another great value selection can be found for this clash, with Man City centre-back Manuel Akanji available at massive odds of 2.20 to be fouled here.

Akanji will be facing off against Liam Delap, who is one of the more aggressive strikers in both the press and his tackles in the Premier League. Delap has committed a massive 2.43 fouls per 90 in the Premier League this season, racking up at least one foul in 17 of his 19 starts in the top flight.

Delap has fouled at least once in 13 of his last 14 league games, and has committed multiple fouls in 7 of these 14. He also fouled 4 times when these sides met at the Etihad in August.

Akanji, meanwhile, despite averaging just 0.56 fouls won per 90 in the Premier League this season has been fouled in 3 of his last 5 league starts for City, and in 5 of his 9 league starts since November. He was also fouled in the 4-1 win for City against Ipswich earlier this season.
