EFL acca: A 17/2 four-fold covering Saturday’s matches

Enda McElhinney’s best bets for Saturday’s Football League games include wins for Luton and Peterborough.

Following the conclusion of the Nations League group stage, the Championship returns to the schedule this weekend to help form a full EFL programme.

There are a total of 32 fixtures taking place across the Championship, League One and League Two on Saturday, with Coventry and Sheffield United taking centre stage, and Aaron Ashley is on hand with a 17/2 accumulator.

Saturday’s EFL Accumulator

Luton to beat Hull

1/1

Peterborough to beat Reading

35/40

Wrexham to beat Exeter

31/40

Notts County to beat Newport

4/9

Accumulator odds 17/2

Luton to beat Hull

1/1

Luton have struggled to recover from the hangover of last season’s relegation from the Premier League and after 15 matches find themselves fourth from bottom in the Championship with only as many points to show for their efforts.

However, the Hatters have a squad too strong to be toiling forever in the Championship and performances haven’t been so bad at Kenilworth Road, where their only defeat in six league games came against leaders Sunderland.

Despite their struggles, Luton are level on points with Hull, who are winless in seven Championship outings, and this represents an excellent opportunity to resume with victory.

The Tigers have taken only one point from their last three away league games, losing to nil on trips to Norwich and Oxford.

Peterborough to beat Reading

35/40

Having sold some of last season’s most valuable assets, Peterborough have failed to live up to pre-season expectations in League One, but recent signs have been encouraging.

Posh have won four of their last five games in all competitions and they are in irresistible form at home, where they’ve taken 13 points from their last five matches.

Darren Ferguson’s side have won their last two home league fixtures against Blackpool and local rivals Cambridge 5-1 and 6-1 and they may be too lively for a young Reading side that picked up only five points from seven away league matches.

Wrexham to beat Exeter

31/40

Wrexham saw their five-game unbeaten run in League One come to an end as they limped to a 1-0 loss at Stockport last weekend, but they boast the best home record in the division and can respond with victory over Exeter.

The ambitious Red Dragons achieved promotion from League Two last season and they sit third in League One after 15 games, having amassed 28 points.

Wrexham have been utterly dominant at the Racecourse Ground, where they have won six and drawn one of their seven outings, and they have conceded only four goals in that spell of success.

Exeter have slipped to ninth in the third-tier following a run of only one win in four and this looks a daunting away trip for them in their bid to rediscover peak form.

Notts County to beat Newport

4/9

Notts County’s promotion push in League Two suffered a setback last weekend as they lost 2-0 at fellow highfliers Crewe, but the Magpies have won four of their last six league games at home and should be too strong for Newport.

While Notts County sit sixth, one point outside the top two, Newport are languishing in 15th following a run of only one win in seven and they have lost five of their last six on the road.
