Everton vs Bournemouth
Everton might not be too keen for this fixture, given that the Cherries pulled off a miraculous comeback when they last tripped to Goodison Park, coming back to win 3-2 despite trailing by two goals in the 87th minute.
There were 12 corners in that game, eight for Everton and four for Bournemouth, as chances were aplenty at either end. Sean Dyche was in charge at the time, but has since been relieved of his managerial duties on Merseyside – David Moyes has assumed responsibility of the dugout in the last four games for the Toffees, and this bet has landed in all four. That includes counts of 13, 11 and 11 corners in his trio of home games.
Bournemouth have seen an average of 11.5 corners per game against top flight opposition in all competitions this season, landing this bet in four of their last five.
Birmingham vs Newcastle
With a resounding record of 19 wins, six draws and two losses from their 27 games, Birmingham sit comfortably top of League One with a couple of games in hand. Unbeaten in their last 18 matches in all competitions, the Blues ought to be looking forward to hosting Premier League heavyweights Newcastle in the hopes of pulling off an upset.
After their midweek success over Arsenal, Eddie Howe saw his side book a spot in the EFL Cup final. In that game, the Magpies shipped 13 corners, although it is worth noting that they sat deep to play on the break, defending their two goal advantage from the first leg.
Birmingham are averaging 6.71 corners per game at St. Andrews Stadium, landing this bet in 15 out of 17 games in all competitions this season. Newcastle are a significantly tougher opponent than the League One side might be used to, but we could see some rotation from Eddie Howe.
Brighton vs Chelsea
Following their thumping defeat at the City Ground, Brighton will be aiming to bounce back when they host Chelsea at the Amex Stadium. The Seagulls were comprehensively outclassed by Nottingham Forest last time out, but were unfortunate to be three goals down at half-time given how chances were available at either end. Danny Welbeck also saw an effort tipped onto the underside of the bar, only to be denied by goal line technology.
When these sides met at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season, it was an enthralling fixture which finished 4-2 in favour of the hosts. Cole Palmer was the difference maker on the night, netting all four goals for the hosts.
Despite their struggles at the back in recent weeks, Brighton remain a strong side going forward and are bound to cause this Chelsea team problems, given that they have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last seven league games.
