Leg 1: Over 2.5 Goals
Goals have been in plentiful supply in recent Liverpool matches. 8 of their last 10 Premier League fixtures have gone over 2.5 with a ridiculous 23 goals registered in their last four games alone. The Reds have really shown some great offensive rhythm recently although have shown signs of defensive weakness. Arne Slot’s men have only kept 2 clean sheets in the last 10, perhaps weakened by the loss of Ibrahima Konate to injury.
Liverpool could cover an over 2.5 goal line on their own here, something they’ve managed 6 times already this season. West Ham have obtained just 4 clean sheets all campaign but have scored in every home game bar one (vs Everton). They will get chances on the break and from set pieces so there’s a good chance that both teams will score. Either way, backing over 2.5 goals looks like a good start to any bet builder.
Leg 2: Mohamed Salah To score Or Assist
The Egyptian King is very difficult to oppose right now and in tremendous form. He leads the Premier League golden boot race with 16 goals and the assist charts with 11. His numbers are through the roof and he’s scored or assisted in 10 of his last 11 competitive games. The last time that Liverpool visited London just before Christmas, he scored a brace in addition to supplying 2 assists. Quite simply, he’s the best player in the Premier League right now and taking him in this to score or assist market makes obvious sense whilst he’s on this hot streak
Leg 3: Jarrod Bowen To Have 1+ Shots ON Target
West Ham’s captain has shown an upturn in form recently and could be a threat for the home team in this game. Bowen is probably the most reliable West Ham player right now and is professional, always giving the best possible account of himself on the field. He could be a big price to score or assist here but simply taking the England man to have at least one shot on target looks like a good addition to any bet builder.
He’s been very accurate of late, having at least one shot on target in all of his last five games, with 9 in total. His seasonal stats are strong with 20 out of 48 attempts on target. Netting the winning goal at Southampton on Boxing day will have done his confidence the world of good and it looks like a good time to be backing an in-form Bowen.
Leg 4: Mohammed Kudus To Have 1+ Shots On Target
Kudus had a long five game Premier League suspension but he’s now been back in action regularly and could cause Liverpool problems on the break with his physicality and pace. The Ghanaian international has fired at least one shot on target in 4 of his last 5 games and managed to register one goal during this period. West Ham are going to be playing on the counter-attack in this game which will suit Kudus perfectly.
He’s got more license to be an individual rather than having to break down a deep defence. He should get a couple of decent opportunities, cut inside and fire some shots away. He looks a big price to hit the target at least once considering recent form.
Apologies For the Lack of Stats Pack on this fixture, Technical Issues, unfortunately, prevented it.
