Arsenal vs Newcastle

Newcastle 2+ Cards
Newcastle are in superb form, and everyone is rightly singing Eddie Howe’s praises. However, I don’t think they’ll have it all their own way here. Newcastle may be in fine form with 4 wins on the spin, but they take on an Arsenal team unbeaten in 13, and with key players in the likes of Bruno Guimaraes and Fabian Schar suspended, they could well come under heaps of pressure. Fouls are likely as Newcastle look to fend off the Gunners here; Howe’s side have picked up 2 or more cards in all 3 of their league cup outings against Premier League sides, and they’ve received 4, 4, 3, 4, 2, 1, and 2 cards in their 7 league games against the big 6 this term.
If the last meeting between these two is anything to go by, then we should be in for a treat. Arsenal forced 4 cards out of Newcastle at St. James Park, and given their form at home we could well see Arteta’s side force different numbers here. Arsenal’s opponents have received 2 or more cards in 10 of their last 12 league outings, and in 16 of their 20 total league games. They may well be missing the likes of Saka and Havertz, but with Newcastle missing key players of their own, they should have the confidence to take this game to the away side and force them onto the back foot.
Wycombe vs Huddersfield

games don’t get much better than this in League One. Wycombe vs Huddersfield is a battle between 2 real attacking forces, and goals are certainly on the menu tonight. The 2 sides have 86 goals between them, with Wycombe topping the charts with 50. The home side have failed to score just once all season, their consistency a key reason for their place in the table, but their recent form at the back makes great reading for this selection. Wycombe are without a clean sheet in 3, and BTTS has landed in 6 of their last 7.
These 2 are yet to face off against each other this term, but Huddersfield will fancy their chances of getting on the scoresheet. Sure, they may have failed to score at the weekend, but that was just the 4th time this season that they’ve failed to find the back of the net. Huddersfield had netted in 10 straight league games prior to that, with BTTS landing in 3 of their last 6. They’ve been a touch lacklustre in front of goal against the better sides in the league, but have still scored against the likes of Barnsley, Reading, and Stockport this season. With Wycombe struggling to hold their opponents to 0, I expect they’ll get on the scoresheet.
