Multiple reports suggested that the Englishman was ready for a new challenge after not being able to find a place in new head coach Ruben Amorim’s starting eleven. Sources stated that the United Academy product was on his way out of Old Trafford.
Rashford has not featured for United since December 1 when he bagged a double in the side’s 4-0 victory over Everton, which was Amorim’s first league win at the club.
Amorim, however, has repeatedly stated that he has no issues with the Englishman and claimed that he was left out of the starting eleven due to sub-standard levels in training.
United find themselves languishing in the 14th place in the English top flight with 22 points to their name in the ongoing campaign in their 19 outings thus far.

United succumbed to a defeat in each of their last three Premier League games as they went down 2-0 to Newcastle United at home, after a loss by the same scoreline at the Molineux against Wolves.
United also went down to Tottenham Hotspur in the quarter-final of the EFL League Cup, followed by another 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth at Old Trafford.
United’s last win came against Manchester City on the road in dramatic fashion as Amorim’s men rallied from a goal down to stun the champions at the Etihad, but couldn’t find a way to capitalise on the momentum and went down in the subsequent games.
