Kerala Blasters’ Prabir Das will spend the rest of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 season on loan with Mumbai City FC, both the ISL outfits announced on Thursday.
“Kerala Blasters FC confirms that Prabir Das will spend the remainder of the season on loan at Mumbai City FC,” Blasters said on a post on their X account.
“We’re delighted to announce the arrival of Prabir Das, who joins #TheIslanders on a loan deal from Kerala Blasters FC until the end of the season!” the Islanders announced on X.
Das joined the Kerala outfit ahead of the 2023-24 campaign on a free transfer from Bengaluru FC. In his first season with the Blasters, he racked up eight appearances. However, he appeared for the side just once in the ongoing season.
Interestingly, it was against Bengaluru in a match which ended 4-2 in favour of the Blues. The now 31-year-old came off the bench in the 77th minute to replace Sandeep Singh.
The Bengal-born player has won two ISL titles with the now-defunct Atletico de Kolkata, the I-League and Federation Cup with Mohun Bagan, and the Durand Cup with Bengaluru FC.
