Football Accumulator Tips: Friday night’s 15/1 Punt

Domestic action returns to our screen on Friday night with some big names in action.

In France, PSG host Toulouse while in Germany Bayern Munich welcome Augsburg to the Allianz. In Spain, Getage are at home to Valladolid and in the Championship we have Plymouth taking on Watford.

Football tipster, Andrew Cunneen has dived into the markets to find four value picks for a tasty-looking Acca.

7:30pm Bayern Munich v Augsburg – Bayern to win to nil
8pm Getafe v Valladolid – Getafe to win
8pm PSG v Toulouse – PSG -1
8pm Plymouth v Watford – Plymouth to win

Bayern Munich v Augsburg – Bayern to win to nil

Bundesliga match at the Allianz Arena, Munich
TV: Sky Sports Mix, 7:30pm

Apart from a two-game throwaway against both Bayer Leverkusen and Frankfurt, Bayern Munich have been impenetrable.

Their last four league games have seen them win by a combined score of 13-0. Getting into a flow with a centre half pairing as good as Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-jae can almost be enough for them to get away with wearing #2 and #3 respectively.

Apart from a smash-and-grab against Wolfsburg three weeks ago, Augsburg’s away form has seen them cough up back-to-back 4-0 losses before losing 3-1 to Freiburg. Even then, their goal came via Philip Tietz after being handed the opportunity to open up as they were trailing 3-0 by the break.

They’re clearly a side who need a lot of chances to score a goal. And eh, well, welcome to Munich, I guess.

Getafe v Valladolid – Getafe to win

La Liga match at the Estadio Coliseum, Getafe
TV: Premier Sports, LaLigaTV, 7:30pm

I think a lot of people are looking at Getafe as somewhat of a failure this year given the resources available to them, but their gradual shift from being hammered for being too open, conceding a goal and a half per game last year, is slowly coming to fruition, despite their position in the table.

Only one of their games so far this year has produced more than three goals, and that’s a good sign that the Jose Bordalas approach to being horrible to play against is coming to fruition, entering his second full season at the club.

They are, predictably, reliant on home results, they’re unbeaten in their five games at Estadio Coliseum thus far, and Valladolid are the kind of opposition that Bordalas has preyed upon throughout his career.

PSG v Toulouse – PSG -1

La Liga match at the Parc des Princes, Paris
TV: Ligue1 Pass, 7:30pm

Not often you get a price like this at PSG, and we’re removed from the days of Ezequiel Lavezzi and Edison Cavani ripping it up one week, only to have an existential crisis the next because somebody left a pair of shorts in the wrong spot in the dressing room.

This PSG team are the counterpoint to why everyone gave them a pass. Because, while they were clearly buying success on the continent, they were at least doing it in entertaining fashion.

Right now, their home wins read 6-0, 3-1, 3-1, 4-2 and 1-0. These are snorefests. Toulouse have won three on the spin, a run beginning against ten-men Montpellier, but to travel to Paris with rekindled hope just because they managed to win two-nil with one shot on target is folly.

Plymouth v Watford – Plymouth to win

Championship match at Home Park, Plymouth
TV: Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Football, 8pm

We’ve been on quite the journey so far through Europe. Hitting the cultural heights of Paris, the beautiful streets of Munich, and the steeping Bavarian countryside you get from Munich’s immediate surrounds.

Well, we’re off to Plymouth. Go Green Army!

The rationale for this is simple. Watford are sixth based on six wins from their seven home games. They’ve also played six games away from home since the opening week, and incredibly, for a team in playoff contention, have lost all six.

Now, you can easily put it down to the quality of their opponents; Sheffield United, Norwich, Preston, Luton, Leeds, and Swansea are all tough to match on home turf, but it becomes a thing very quickly, and their approach without home comforts is really lacking.

Getting this price for the continuation of a trend is rare, particularly as Michael Obafemi is starting to look like a player capable of playing at a higher level again.
