Delhi Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi said that Arvind Kejriwal decided to resign after being released from the jail because the allegations against him caused him “deep angst and pain”.
Talking exclusively to India Today TV, Atishi said, “To understand Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation, you need to look at his persona. This is a man who has dedicated his entire life to fighting against corruption, this is a man who has spent his entire life trying to bring about clean governance and clean politics.”
She added that he felt “deep angst and pain” that people would actually think that he was corrupt based on the BJP’s allegations, and hence he decided to resign.
