Leg 1: Both Teams To score

Arsenal to win is an attractive option considering their strong recent form, and the return of key man Martin Odegaard, however, odds of 1.40 are just not offering enough value. Instead, we’re backing both sides to find the net as two sides who had very positive weekends go head to head at the Emirates on Wednesday.

The Gunners have kept just 1 clean sheet in their last 8 league games, whilst Man United have now found the net in 6 straight league games after a run of 3 league games without a goal back in September and October. The fixture list during this run has not been the toughest, but Arsenal’s defensive struggles offer confidence that they can keep this goalscoring run going.

Arsenal have failed to score only twice all season, once when playing 60 minutes with 10 men against Bournemouth, and again recently against Newcastle. It seems unlikely they will struggle to do so here, as Martin Odegaard offers much more creative threat, as evidenced by the 8 league goals they have scored in the 2 games since he returned, whilst United’s have kept only 1 clean sheet against a top-half side, against 10th-placed Fulham on matchday 1.

Leg 2: Bukayo Saka To score or Assist

Arsenal’s form has been hit and miss this season, but Bukayo Saka has been sensational throughout their up-and-down form. He should only be getting better too, with the long-awaited return of Martin Odegaard breathing new life into an Arsenal attack that became perhaps a little too predictable when relying so heavily on Saka.

This bet has failed to land in only 3 of Arsenal’s 13 league games this season, and in just 2 of the 12 games in which Arsenal have scored at least once. The Gunners have scored 26 times this season, and Saka has scored 5 of these and assisted another 10, meaning he has contributed to 57.69% of Arsenal’s league goals this season.

We expect both sides to find the net here, as mentioned above, and with Saka having scored or assisted 1.37 times per 90 in the Premier League, there looks to be every chance that the England international will either get on the scoresheet or set up a teammate to do so here.

Leg 3: Joshua Zirkzee To Have 1+ Shots On Target

Of regular Man United starters, only Alejandro Garnacho (1.41) has had more shots on target per 90 than Joshua Zirkzee’s 1.31. The Dutch striker did not start in Ruben Amorim’s first league game in charge, but he was given the nod against Everton and repaid the new boss with a brace, so should keep his spot here.

Those may have been only his second and third Premier League goals for the Red Devils, however, he has been efficient with his shooting whenever given the opportunity, so being able to back him at 1.80 here looks like a good play.

Zirkzee has had a shot on target in 4 of his 5 league starts for Man United, and though it will be a tough test against Arsenal, the Gunners have given up 3 or more shots on target in all but 2 of their 13 league games so far, allowing 4 or more shots on target in 3 of their last 5. With that in mind, being able to back United’s centre-forward to have just one at this price point offers great value.

Leg 4: Jurrien Timber To be Fouled 1+ Times

Available at evens to be fouled just once in this game, Jurrien Timber looks to offer fantastic value. After a long run of rarely, if ever, drawing fouls, the bookmakers have continually priced up the full back as one of the least likely players on the pitch to be fouled, but he has now won 8 fouls in his last 4 Premier League starts.

Timber has been fouled in each of those 4 starts and in 7 straight starts for the Gunners in all competitions. He has now been fouled 0.83 times per 90 in the Premier League this season, but that has shot up to 2.14 per 90 in his last four league games.

He will be up against Diogo Dalot, who has fouled 1.27 times per 90 in the league this season, and also Marcus Rashford, who has fouled 0.78 times per 90. Dalot has committed a foul in 5 of his last 6 league starts for United, whilst Rashford has fouled in both of his league starts under new boss Ruben Amorim.
